Hi there, and thanks for visiting my blog. 🙂
Tonight I thought I’d write a bit about a Puyo Puyo clone I tried for the first time. It is called Amoebax and was developed by a team for four people, namely S. Creatiu, A. Almarza, J. Fita, and F. Brugat. More information can be found at the official webpage of the game. Thanks to Spot/Up Rough!, we can enjoy this game on our AmigaOS 4.x systems.

Amoebax is a match-3 puzzle game, where the goal is to beat your opponent by filling up their grid. There are two players to choose from, Kim and Tom, and you’ll compete against six characters controlled by the amoebas. You can also play against people if you want and even set up a tournament! The story goes that due to an awful mutation, some amoeba’s species have started to multiply and they will take over the world if you don’t stop them. Fortunately, the mutation has made them a bit unstable, so that lining up four or more of them will make them disappear. Can you save the world from the amoebas?
I recorded a short video of me playing the game, which you can watch below. I found the game fun with good gameplay, nice graphics and nice background music. If you’re looking for a game to relax a bit, this one might be worth trying. It is free and be be downloaded from OS4Depot here.
Thanks for reading and see you in another post here on Gaming on AmigaOS 4! 🙂 Cheers!
